At the heart of GYAN NIKETAN is a dream—one envisioned by our esteemed founder, Padma Shree Acharya Kunal Kishore, IPS and Mrs. Anita Kumnal, Philanthropist & Educationist, whose passion for education laid the foundation of this institution under the aegis of M.V.V.Nyas. With a firm belief that every child deserves access to quality learning and a nurturing environment, they established Gyan Niketan in the year 1986 with the goal of shaping not just educated minds, but responsible and compassionate citizens. The first batch appeared in the year 1990 through CBSE, New Delhi ad created an excellence at National Level.

From humble beginnings, Acharya Kishore Kunal and Mrs. Anita Kunal dreamed of a school where students could grow academically, physically, emotionally, and socially. That dream sustains and blooms in every classroom, every teacher, and every student who walks through our doors. Today, Gyan Niketan stands as a testament to that vision—committed to academic excellence, innovation, and values-driven education.

After several years of assiduous endeavour, the M. V. V. Nyas is now in a position to declare with conviction that Gyan Niketan is an excellent result oriented human resource development school of national repute with difference. Gyan Niketan has hostel facilities for the students of Std I to Std. XII with impulsive and instinctive capacity. Spacious playground with multi discipline is added to its arena where students explore their potentials. An exclusive auditorium is for encouraging Excellence among the children through their participation in different curricular and co-curricular activities.

Gyan Niketan is affiliated to CBSE, New Delhi and abides to all developmental etiquettes. Gyan Niketan has developed a full-fledged and well equipped Senior Secondary Sections offering wide ranges of subjects from Science, Commerce, Humanities and Vocational courses with the most competent facilitators. An Alumni association of Gyan Niketan is known as “Gyan Niketan Old Boys Association” (GYANOBA). It is a registered Society. Members of GYANOBA remain in touch with their Alma-mater and contribute towards al-round development of the Institution.

Manaviya Vibhava Vikas (M.V.V.) Nyas is a Human Resource Development Society which is an educational society registered under Societies Registration Act, 1860 (Union of India) established in the year 1986. The establishment of this society was done to create an international educational environment in Bihar and its surroundings.
